Hank Garner interviewed me for his fantastic “Author Stories Podcast” last week — and now it is LIVE!

We spent about an hour talking about ThirdScribe, the writing industry, how authors can promote their books, and how new authors can get started. It was a blast. Please, click through and give it a listen!

Just listened to the podcast. 🙂

The part where you talked about readers communicating with authors spoke to me. I remember, when I was a teenager, I wrote to Dean Koontz, and he wrote me a very short note back (mostly just saying that he could read the writing sample that I had sent him) and I was elated. I still have that note in my memory box. It was a big deal to me then. And now, in the digital age, when I’ve “talked” to big names on social media, and they talk back, it gives me that same glee (although, I keep my inner fangirl in check). And without social media, I wouldn’t have been able to beta read for Matthew Mather, and I wouldn’t have met the incredible network of writers that I’ve become friends with, and have found opportunities because of it. I’m rambling. Anyway, I just think it’s great, and there’s a lot of power for both writers and readers in being able to communicate with each other. So thanks!

I had a similar encounter with Tad Williams and a few other authors over the years. It’s pretty awesome to be able to talk to them. And even more awesome at how down to earth they are.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, and here’s hoping for more readers and authors talking online!
